When you’re on a tight budget, there’s no better place to stretch your money than a nice community center. Venice Community Center in Sarasota County fits the bill. Owned by the Venice Area Historical Society, this station was built in 1927 and renovated in 2002-2003. Options include clubhouse (up to 100 people), patio, bridal arbor with a backdrop of the surrounding two acres of botanical gardens. The clubhouse is the historic St Rita’s Church, which was relocated to this site. Cheyenne Curtiss writes: “I had my wedding here in 2015, doesn’t cost a fortune and has a lot of old natural beauty with a bit of a modern touch.
