Cheap Chicago Wedding Venues
This boutique hotel sits near the heart of historic downtown Oak Park just minutes west of the Chicago Loop. Placing an emphasis on timeless elegance, the Carleton offers five different rooms available to rent, including the Ballroom for a rental fee of just $300 for six hours. Small room rentals for more intimate events are $150. For those wishing to wed on the premises, a wedding setup fee of $500 is required. Additional hours may be added for $125 per hour. The hotel will also provide, at no charge, tables, chairs, linen (ivory), table numbers, votive candles, china, glass, and silverware. Minimum food and drink purchases apply. A $750 deposit is required to book the space.
Located south of downtown Chicago, this Frank Lloyd Wright prairie-style clubhouse offers 50-foot ballroom ceilings and panoramic views of the Chicago City skyline and nearby Lake Calumet. Rental fees start at just $500 for five hours of event time. For couples who wish to be married on site, a ceremony fee of $8 per person is required. Additional time may be request for a rate of $100/hour.
This unique city venue is urban design at its finest, simple and modern with exposed brick features. Perfect for smaller weddings of up to 85 guests, the 1,000 square foot loft includes prep space for vendors or even self-catering! Weekday wedding rates are as low as $500, with weekend rates starting at $750 for 8 hours, up to $1,600 for the full day. Additional hours are available for $100-$175 per hour. A 50% rental fee deposit is required to book. Rental fees include tables, chairs, kitchen and sound system.

All rental fees include security deposit and personnel/labor. Additional time is available for $225 per hour. A $35 non-refundable application fee is also required. It’s important to note that Promontory Point is a seasonal facility, with event bookings available May-October only.

Reciting your vows in the courtyard against a brick-and-ivy backdrop will make your wedding feel like a hidden forest picnic in the center of a bustling city. In addition to the Courtyard, Ivy Room boasts a ballroom and lower level cocktail venue suiting up to 180 guests. The $2,000 rental fee includes four hours of setup, six hours of event time and two hours of tear-down, coatcheck, doorman, and rehearsal time. A food and beverage minimum is required, including an 11.5% tax. Additional hours can be arranged for $500 per hour.
Couples wanting to take advantage of Chicago’s prestigious — and beautiful — academic settings can find venues to suit any size reception at Loyola University’s Lake Shore site. While onsite ceremonies are available only to faculty, there is no shortage of reception halls to choose from. Rental fees start at $2,200 for lake-facing Crown Center Lobby and Patio (capacity 120) and McCormick Lodge (capacity 130), up to $3,400 for the grand, art-deco-style Donovan Reading Room (capacity 200). All venue rentals include six hours of event time, tables and chairs, set-up and tear-down. Food and beverage minimums apply, and a 20% discount is offered November to April. 50% of the rental fee is required as a non-refundable deposit. Promising a unique and memorable experience for the young at heart, a cocktail reception for 75 guests and 4 hours of event time costs $2,350. Other rental fees range from $1,250 (for a four-hour intimate gathering of 30 guests) to $5,100 (for six hours and 180 guests). The venue includes eight separate event rooms over two floors; three rooms offering space for onsite ceremonies. Fully furnished event rooms, an additional two hours of setup and tear-down time, wedding rehearsal, and onsite support are all included in the rental fees.
