My Guest Post at Beliefnet.com

One of my favorite writers is Jason Boyett. When he asked me to write this guest post for his blog at Beliefnet.com, my first reaction was to feel flattered, and my second was total apprehension of the subject: doubt. Although I’d shared some about my ups and downs of faith on this blog, I don’t know that I’ve ever really put it out there like this. But I feel safe doing it, thanks to the work Jason is doing. When I sent him my story I told him, “The work that you’re doing helped me realize that doubt is normal, and valuable.” There’s no reason to keep silent. Maybe along the way, my story will encourage someone else who’s going through the same.

Jason’s new book, O Me of Little Faith, is about his journey of faith (and doubt), and when I first read it, I wanted to hug it. Finally, someone in my generation talking honestly about the big questions of faith – someone who values both science & logic and spirit & truth!

I have so enjoyed working with Jason since our days at Relevant when we published several of his first books. He helped me become better at my craft and remained a friend (despite witnessing a certain ill-advised parody skit involving a Russian intern during a work retreat.)
