Free – French Quarter
The first stop in our tour of New Orleans wedding venues is Pirate’s Alley. For a small elopement ceremony, the space at the famous lamp post outside of Pirates Alley Cafe is free when wedding has under 10 people.
$100 – French Quarter
For an elopement ceremony with 10 or less people attending, the Friends of the Algiers Courthouse allows couples to be married by a judge in a courtroom. Friday ceremonies are $100 and Saturday ceremonies are $170. Couples can purchase their marriage license there as well. No cards or checks will be accepted, cash only. No reservation required.
$250 – French Quarter
Jackson Square is available for rental through the city and price varies depending on the number of people present at the wedding. For 2-25 guests the fee is $250, $500 for 26-100 guests, and $750 for 101-200 guests. No receptions, food, or drinks are allowed on the premise. There is also a litter deposit ranging between $100 and $500 and a $50 non-refundable permit processing fee.
$450 – Kenner
This venue could be used for a wedding ceremony and a reception. The rental fee is $450 for the required minimum 3 hour booking and then is an additional $100 per hour for each additional hour. There is also an additional refundable $100 deposit. If alcohol is served at the reception, a police detail is also required for most events with over 50 people or with minors. A one hour set up and one hour tear down is included in the price of the rental.
$750 – Ponchatoula
A 3-hour wedding and reception at this location starts at $750 for a midday Saturday event. Friday evening 3 hour is $1300 and Saturday evening is $1800. The rate goes up a bit depending on how many guests are in attendance and there is an option to add an additional hour. Catering is required and ranges from $14.00 to $27.00 per person. This price does not include drinks. You are not required to use their caterer for your cake, but there is a cake cutting fee. There is also a $150 fee for an off-duty police officer anytime a wedding has more than 100 guests and/or alcohol is served.
$1,000 – French Quarter
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday rentals start at $1000 and events can begin earlier in the day and end by four or can last from seven to eleven pm. Additional hours cost $300 per hour and a one-hour wedding ceremony (with a rehearsal included) is $300, plus $2 per chair rented. The space holds 125 standing room guests, 96 seated dinner guests, and 64 guests if seated for dinner and a dance floor is present. Required damage deposit is $500 and additional set up/tear down time is $100 per hour. This venue requires you to use their caterer.
$1,000 – French Quarter
The pricing of this venue depends greatly on the number of guests in attendance, in fact, it may even be free! To rent this venue for a reception, you’re required to have a minimum of 75 guests, but no more than 300. Pricing for Friday reception is $2500 for 75-99 guests, $2000 for 100-149, and $1000 for $150-199. Pricing for Saturday reception is $3000 for 75-99 guests, $2500 for 100-149, and $1500 for 150-200. Pricing for a Sunday reception is $2000 for 75-99, $1000 for 100-125 and the fee is completely waived for an excess of 125. The reason the pricing changes is because you are required to use their caterer and pricing starts at $55 per person. A ceremony alone is $1150 for 46-50 seated guests (and possibly an additional 160 standing guests) for the use of the atrium.
$1,000 – New Orleans
For a Thursday or Sunday event, the rental fee is $1000, for Friday it is $1500 and for Saturday it is $2000. Rental of the home includes the furnishings and all of the gardens. Rates are based on a 3 hour event with a 2 hour set up and 1 hour tear down. Additional hours are available at $400 an hour. You may also access the house two hours before your 3-hour event for pictures and dressing. Must use Ralph Brennan Catering & Events for catering and there are food and beverage minimums starting at $3000 depending on the rental date.
$2,500 – French Quarter
For no more than 100 guests, the Pitot House will reduce their normal rental fee from $3500 to $2500, depending on the date. The Pitot House is one of the most iconic venues in New Orleans and only rents out one event per weekend.
$2,750 – French Quarter
It would be difficult to beat the breathtaking scenery of the St. Louis Cathedral and St. Mary’s Chapel. For a marriage ceremony only, the rental fee for either is $2750. While receptions are not allowed at this location, the cathedral has a suggested rental space for a reception nearby.
