Scary Spending for Halloween
According to a National Retail Federation's Halloween Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, the average American plans to spend almost $65 this Halloween season on things like costumes, candy and decorations. This is up from approximately $60 last year.
Nearly 60 percent of people celebrate in some way, spending an estimated total of $5.07 billion nationally.
