Target Bridal Review

A while back, a reader named Brittney, tipped us off that Target was launching a discount bridal line. Brittney bought two dresses from the site and had this review about her experience. Thanks for the information! Anyone else out there bought bridal dresses from Target?

"I bought a wedding gown and bridesmaid's dress from the Target Isaac Mizrahi collection. I was interested in seeing the quality and how it would compare to something such as David's Bridal. Target generally has clothing I find acceptable to wear to work, and I'm especially happy with the Isaac Mizrahi line, however I wasn't sure how the bridal dresses would compare to David's Bridal or other common bridal line."

"I wanted something really simple I could embellish with a shrug or jacket. Using the measuring guide on the website, I figured out what size I was and purchased a gown accordingly. When it arrived, I was really surprised. It was actually a decent quality fabric and structuring. I would have been happy with the quality, especially for $89.99. The size was entirely different. Although I measured and should have been able to wear the size I was sent, it was so huge it wouldn't stay up. Finally (and the deciding factor) - I ordered 'opal cream' but it is more of a 'butter' and entirely too yellowish for what I want. So...I sent it back. If I change my mind and decide on a white dress, instead of cream, I might re-order.

"My sister's wedding is in August, and she wanted something in pool blue and the bridesmaids had tried on several options at David's Bridal, but the dressed really seemed overpriced for what she was getting. This dress was very similar in style to what she wanted, and at the low price of $49.99, she was willing to try it out. The color of the dress is almost exactly as it appears on their website. My sister was very happy with the color. After she decided to go with the dress, we measured her bridesmaids and ordered their size (according to the website instructions). The dress we ordered in a size 6 fit the bridesmaid perfectly, but the dress we ordered in a size 16 was so huge it will have to be altered to fit the bridesmaid. Not a huge problem - we'd prefer it is cut bigger over a smaller cut. We've also ordered two additional dresses, and my mom is using the fabric to make a shrug. Total price of a David's Bridal dress and shrug? $180. Total price of the Target dress and (homemade) shrug? $100.

"Summary - the quality is great for the price, but if you order one of the dresses, be prepared to need alterations or order a couple sizes before finding one that really fits. Also, the cream wedding gown is more of a yellow and less of an off-white."

All I can say is it's ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE...you all have done a wonderful job, I'm thrilled!!!
Lets leave the flowers on the front off since they aren't really going to be seen. I kind of like the simplicity of just the plain white w/the color around the bottom. She's such a little girl I think simple is better. But I'm definitely satisfied the the decision to put the flowers on the back. And your idea to put both the chocolate/pink together was fabulous.. it's beautiful!! And the little headband is great as well. It's all just perfect!!
Thank you so much for all your help!
