New Scale for Credit Scores Announced
The three major credit reporting agencies annouced a new way of calculating credit scores this week. The new scale, called VantageScore, resembles an academic scale.
A - 901-990
B - 801-900
C - 701-800
D - 601-700
F - 501-600
I first heard the news on NPR and their online version of this story offers tips on how to improve your credit score rating.

Hi Cara-
Just wanted to pass along a great "secret" from our wedding day. Because of the many costs involved with a wedding, we opted for an alternative, or hidden gem (!), for our wedding cake. The four tiers were all made from Styrofoam except the top layer, which was cake (so we could do the traditional cutting into and feeding one another). The entire cake was beautifully decorated--it was stunning. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, our servers had 5 different sheet cakes (they were all unique-not your typical white & chocolate or marble) that they served our guests just like they would a regular wedding cake. When it came time to serve dessert, our guests were presented with 5 different options AND our actual wedding cake served as the centerpiece to the dessert table. We saved money: no extra decoration for the cake table & the cost for the cake was cut in HALF since we opted for the Styrofoam decorated cake, and cheaper sheet cakes in the back. No one knew and it ended up being a wonderful twist to our special day!
Sincerely,
Kati Foster
